KHD takes on River of Art and Baranguba
I’m proud to announce that Kate Howarth Digital has just taken on 2 new contracts with the River of Art Festival.
River of Art is a 10 day event spanning over 100kms oc coastline from Durras in the north of Eurobodalla all the way down to Bermagui on the NSW Far South Coast. It is a celebration of the arts with open studios, exhibitions, performances and more. KHD will be taking over all social media management from the event from 1 August 2024 to 7 October 2024.
A flagship of event of River of Art is Baranguba - A Tale of Noorooma, unique fusion of dance and digital art, bringing to life one of the stories of the First People of Noorooma. KHD will be undertaking all marketing activities for Baranguba
Baranguba tells a tale of tragedy, healing, and resilience involving the First People of Noorooma and Baranguba/Montague Island. This immersive performance will touch your heart and soul.
This hybrid theatre experience is led by Sharon Mason and the Djaadjawan Dancers, with creative director Scott Baker, motion graphics artist Duncan Irving, and technical team Visumotus taking the audience on a powerful and unique journey. I’ve worked with Scott and Djaadjawan Dancers on a number of projects and it’s great to see them working together. Having lived in Narooma and always been fascinated by the story that Baranguba tells, I can’t wait to see it on stage at Bay Pavilions 4-5 October.
The Djaadjawan Dancers are an all-women Aboriginal dance group based in Narooma, South Coast NSW. With every performance, their profound storytelling and exquisite dance captivates audiences.
Tickets will be available in August through the Bay Pavilions. Mark your calendars and be part of an experience that celebrates culture, art, and the indomitable spirit of the First People of Noorooma.
This special production builds on the River of Art’s experience in showcasing the latest in digital arts while sharing a significant local story.
Baranguba is presented support of CreateNSW.
